CURRENT POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Report to: Project/Service Delivery Manager

Scope

This position will be working in the Project Management team. The Project Manager will assist in running the various projects and major tasks within the firm. This will involve maintenance of project plans, risk registers and issues list. They will also help with project budgeting.

They will be expected to start to run project independently within the project program framework.

Strong communication skills are required as is a knowledge of basic project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Project administration. This involves updating project plans, risk and issues lists.
  • Project budgeting to track and forecast spend.
  • Work within the Firms project management structure
  • Perform project scoping and clearly document the requirements
  • User requirements gathering
  • Document meetings and produce concise notes and minutes which reflect the outcome
  • Help document current business process and assist refining these to a more desired state.
  • Analyse and document business requirements and translate these to specification and design; creation of functional design documentation.
  • Execute assigned tasks within a structured project environment.
  • Assist with other service management activities such as vendor management, RFPs, RFIs.

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project. Should have used this in the past.
  • Good Excel skills to manage budgets and other analysis
  • Good verbal and written (English) communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Comfortable speaking in meetings, preferably with experience leading and facilitating discussions.
  • Able to capture and organise business requirements as expressed in interviews, meetings, emails, etc.
  • Comfortable asking questions to clarify understanding.
  • Experience creating process and flow diagrams.
  • Strong English speaking and writing skills.
  • The candidate must be very customer orientated.
  • Law firm experience would be an advantage but not mandatory.

Dependent on skills and experience.
