Deacons achieves impressive rankings in World Trademark Review 1000

We are delighted to announce Deacons has achieved impressive rankings in the 2019 edition of The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals, published by the World Trademark Review 1000.

Each year, the World Trademark Review conducts qualitative research to identify the firms and individuals that are deemed outstanding in this critical area of practice. When identifying the leading firms, factors such as depth of expertise, market presence and the level of work on which they are typically instructed are all taken into account, alongside positive peer and client feedback.

Deacons is ranked as a Gold Tier law firm in Hong Kong for “enforcement and litigation” and  is highly recommended for “prosecution and strategy”. Seven IP partners have been recognised as leading individuals within “enforcement and litigation”, “prosecution and strategy” and the “transactional” category, which is the highest proportion of partners ranked by a firm in Hong Kong.

Individual rankings for the following categories are as follows:

Enforcement and litigation

Prosecution and strategy

Transactions

The editorial commentary states: Cosmopolitan and “exceptional” to the core, Deacons is home to an eight-partner team of professionals serving up a “strategic, clear and practical” trademark service to half of the world’s 100 most valuable brands. “Highly experienced and knowledgeable,” the 20-plus lawyers at this illustrious set have truly global origins – including individuals from Australia, Canada, China and Hong Kong – and they all collaborate to seamlessly deliver top-notch results. “Deacons lawyers are truly invested in their clients’ success, and serve as invaluable assistants on all Asia-bound work.”
