Douglas represents foreign companies with investments and interests in Thailand. He has represented many large multinational companies on major acquisitions in Thailand. He also represents a large number of Japanese companies with operations in Thailand. In addition to having an active corporate and commercial practice, Douglas handles international arbitration matters. Douglas also has an active debt and corporate restructuring practice.
Douglas’s clients include a number of US Fortune 500 companies with operations and subsidiaries in Thailand, large Japanese trading firms and large Japanese manufacturing companies.
Before joining the Bangkok office of Deacons in 1998, Douglas was partner in the US law firm of Graham & James from 1992 until 1998; he was an associate at Graham & James from 1986 until 1991. Before joining Graham & James, Douglas worked in the legal department of Bank of America and Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton’s Banking and Finance Department. |
