Deacons recognised as a Caring Company in the community 21 February 2008 Deacons has been recognised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service as a Caring Company in a ceremony at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre on Thursday, 21 February officiated by The Chief Secretary for Administration of HKSAR, Mr Henry Tang. Our activities in three of the six eligibility categories; Volunteering, Employee Friendly and Giving (to charities), were assessed by the Council as deserving of recognition under the Caring Company Scheme. "We are delighted to have been recognised as a Caring Company. This recognises the contribution that many of our partners, lawyers and staff already make to the community in a wide variety of ways and the work-life balance we try to provide at Deacons. We will undertake additional initiatives in the future to try to contribute more as a firm" said Lindsay Esler, Managing Partner.
