Gavin Nesbitt appointed to IBA Committee 6 October 2006 After speaking as a panellist at the recent International Bar Association (IBA) meeting in Chicago on the heady subject of "Making a Joint – how to roll two complementary companies into one wrapper”, Deacons Commercial Department's Gavin Nesbitt has been appointed as the Asia Conference Coordinator for 2007-2008 on the IBA's Business Organisation Committee. This IBA Committee includes representatives from 29 law firms internationally and focuses on M&A, private equity and joint ventures, which are all core areas for our corporate practice. Membership of the Committee is a significant networking opportunity for the firm. Next year's annual IBA meeting will be in Singapore.
