Deacons partners speak at American Bar Association meeting 6 August 2006 Annie Tsoi, partner of Deacons' IP Department (based in Hong Kong) and Elizabeth Cole, partner of Deacons’ China Practice Group (based in Shanghai) were both invited to speak at the American Bar Association (ABA) Annual Meeting in Hawaii on 6 August, 2006. The title of Annie's session was "Globalisation, Technology and the Internet have Created a Worldwide Crisis and How to Combat Counterfeiting". The title of Elizabeth's session was "Free Trade: the US, China, Australia triangle". Attended by over 4,000 lawyers, this meeting is the most prestigious event on the ABA's annual calendar of activities and it is considered a great honour to be invited to speak at this conference.
